Are your resumes applicant tracking system (ATS) friendly?

Yes, absolutely. We understand how applicant tracking systems (ATS) work and our writers are experts in using the right keywords in your resume to give you a competitive advantage, so your resume ends up in front of hiring managers. 

What is an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and why is it used?

An Applicant Tracking System, called ATS for short, is a type of recruiting software that many companies use to streamline their hiring process. Some employers use this type of software to filter out certain applicants based on certain keywords that may or may not be on their resume. The ATS can then recommend top candidates to a hiring manager based on specific information that the ATS is programmed to look for on someone’s resume. Unfortunately, this system is also used to “weed out” applicants to save hiring managers time looking over applications. Someone who might be very qualified and well-suited for a position might never get a chance to have their resume seen by a hiring manager simply because their resume is not ATS friendly. Our professional resume writers will work with you to create a resume that is ATS friendly and specific to the job that you are applying for therefore increasing your chances of having your resume seen by the hiring manager.   

Can I talk to my resume writer?

Yes, of course. Once we receive payment, we will contact you within 1 business day to schedule a consultation with your writer. You will have a personal consultation with your writer to discuss your career goals, resume needs, and answer any questions you may have. Your personal consultation will be via email, phone, or zoom depending on your preference and you will have access to your resume writer throughout the resume writing process.  

Does my resume writer understand my industry?

Yes. Your resume writer is assigned to you based on their knowledge of the industry you are applying for.

Do you offer a rush service?

We do offer a rush service. If you need your resume faster than our standard turnaround time of 4-5 business days, we do have a rush service available for an extra fee. Please contact us for details on this service as it is offered based on the availability of our writers.

How long will it take, after I pay, until I receive my resume?

Once we received your payment, one of our Resume Writers will contact you within 1 business day to schedule a consultation and to gather documents from you. You will then connect with your Resume Writer for a consultation via phone, email, or zoom to discuss your career goals, complete an intake form, and to answer any questions you may have. The first draft of your resume will be sent to you in PDF format within 4-5 business days after your consultation. Any revisions need to be requested within 7 days. 

What happens after I pay?

Can I request changes after I get my resume?

Yes, we do offer unlimited revisions for your resume however the revisions must be requested within 7 days of receiving your draft resume and must be for the same resume and job. For example, if we completed a resume for you for a position as an electrician, your revisions must pertain to that specific application. We cannot revise your resume to fit a different position. This would require a new package to be purchased and for your to be paired with another resume writer so we can ensure that your resume fits the criteria for the specific job you are applying for. If you require multiple resumes for different positions or industries, please contact us. We do offer discounts for multiple resume services and repeat customers.

Do you offer payment plans?

No. We don’t offer payment plans. Payments must be submitted in full at time of checkout.

Can I use the same resume for multiple industries?

We don’t recommend this. It is best that you have a resume specific to each industry that you are applying to in order to increase your chances of having your resume seen by a hiring manager. For example, if we completed a resume for you for a culinary position, that same resume would not necessarily be applicable to position as a sales management position. Also, your resume would not be ATS optimized for multiple industries. If you require more than one resume, please contact us. We offer discounts for multiple resume packages and for repeat customers.

Do you offer refunds?

All purchases are final once you’ve had your initial consultation with your assigned writer. Our writers are committed to work with you collaboratively in order to ensure that you are happy with the final resume.

Can I schedule an evening or weekend consultation appointment with you?

Yes. We do offer flexible appointment times in order to suit your schedule.

How can a professionally written resume help me get more call-backs?

Our writers are experts and have extensive experience to create a professional resume for you that is specific to the job you are applying for. Our writers understand how Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) work and what hiring managers and recruiters are looking. A professionally written and customized resume will increase your chances of passing through an ATS system and being seen by recruiters and hiring managers.

Do you offer a guarantee?

If you are not happy with your resume, or you are not seeing the traction you hoped for, we will reassess your resume for free within 30 days. Remember that we also offer unlimited revisions within 7 days of you receiving the draft resume.

Indigo Resume Services cannot  guarantee that you will get the job you want by using one of our services. There are many factors at play in the recruitment process such as internal candidates, better qualified candidates, market conditions, previous experience and much more. When purchasing one of our services, you agree and understand that Indigo Resume Services, it’s owners and/or partners, it’s writers and/or agents are not liable or responsible for the outcome of your job application(s).

Can I request samples of your resumes?

We do not offer samples. All of our resumes are customized and individualized to the person purchasing our services and to the job/industry that they are applying for. However, please keep in mind that when you purchase one of our resume service packages, you will receive unlimited revisions for that resume within 7 days. Customer satisfaction is our top priority!

Are you hiring resume writers?

If you are a certified and qualified resume writer, have experience in recruiting or human resources, and love to provide excellent customer service, please send us your resume. We’d be happy to look over it and will contact you when we have a position available. We keep resumes on file for up to 6 months.

Our physical offices are located in Vancouver, BC and Kamloops, BC. However, our services are offered to clients all over Canada, the United States, and even worldwide. We are happy to work with you wherever you are located.
